Crispy Baked Chicken Wings (No Fryer Needed)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes & flats)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (not baking soda)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Prep
    • Pat wings very dry (this is key).
    • Toss with baking powder and seasonings.
  2. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    • Place wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
    • Bake 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Classic Buffalo Sauce

  • ½ cup hot sauce
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Toss hot wings in sauce and serve immediately.


Fried Chicken Wings (Extra Crunch)

  1. Season wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  3. Drain and sauce if desired.

Flavor Ideas

  • Honey Garlic: Honey + soy sauce + garlic + butter
  • Lemon Pepper: Butter + lemon zest + cracked pepper
  • BBQ: Warm BBQ sauce + splash of honey

  • Baking powder dries the skin = crispy wings.
