Here’s a **simple, delicious Chicken Taquitos recipe** you can make at home!

## 🌮 **Crispy Chicken Taquitos**

### **Ingredients (makes about 12 taquitos)**

* 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
* 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a mix)
* ½ cup cream cheese, softened (optional but great)
* ¼ cup salsa or diced green chiles
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp chili powder or taco seasoning
* Salt & pepper to taste
* 12 small corn or flour tortillas
* Oil for frying or spraying (if baking/air frying)

## **Instructions**

### **1. Make the filling**

In a bowl, mix together:

* Shredded chicken
* Shredded cheese
* Cream cheese
* Salsa or green chiles
* Spices
Stir until everything is fully combined.

### **2. Warm the tortillas**

Warm tortillas in the microwave for ~20–30 seconds wrapped in a damp towel so they roll easily without cracking.

### **3. Fill and roll**

Place 2–3 tablespoons of filling onto each tortilla.
Roll tightly and place seam-side down.

## **4. Choose your cooking method**

### 🔥 **Frying (crispiest)**

* Heat ½ inch of oil in a pan over medium-high.
* Fry taquitos 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
* Drain on paper towels.

### 🍽 **Baking (lighter)**

* Heat oven to 425°F (220°C).
* Place taquitos on a baking sheet, seam-side down.
* Brush or spray lightly with oil.
* Bake 15–20 minutes until crisp.

### 💨 **Air Fryer**

* Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
