Yesss 😍🧀 cheese bread—warm, fluffy, and loaded with melty goodness. Here’s an easy, homemade version that works as a side, snack, or appetizer.


Easy Homemade Cheese Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup melted butter or oil
  • 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients
    • Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients
    • In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Combine
    • Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just mixed.
    • Fold in shredded cheese.
  5. Bake
    • Pour batter into pan.
    • Bake 45–50 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool & Serve
    • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Variations

  • Cheddar jalapeño: Add diced jalapeños.
  • Garlic herb: Add Italian seasoning or fresh herbs.
  • Extra cheesy: Sprinkle more cheese on top before baking.
  • Pull-apart style: Bake in a round pan and cut into wedges.

Tips

  • Don’t overmix—keeps it tender.
  • Serve warm with butter or alongside soup or chili.
