Cajun corn on the cob

Posted on October 24, 2025 by Admin
Nice choice — Cajun corn on the cob is a bold, flavorful twist on classic corn! 🌽🔥 It’s buttery, spicy, and just a bit smoky, with that unmistakable Cajun kick. You can grill, roast, or boil the corn, depending on your preference.

Here’s a simple Cajun Corn on the Cob recipe:

🌽 Cajun Corn on the Cob

Servings: 4
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 ears of corn, husked

  • 4 tbsp butter (softened or melted)

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade — see below)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra smoky flavor)

  • Salt, to taste

  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

  • Lime or lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions

🔥 Option 1: Grilled Cajun Corn

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Mix the butter, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl.

  3. Brush the seasoned butter all over the corn.

  4. Grill the corn for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until slightly charred and tender.

  5. Brush with more butter and sprinkle with a little salt.

  6. Garnish with parsley and a squeeze of lime.

🧈 Option 2: Oven-Roasted Cajun Corn

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Coat the corn evenly with the butter mixture.

  3. Wrap each ear in foil and place on a baking sheet.

  4. Roast for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway through.

  5. Unwrap and broil for 2–3 minutes for a bit of char, if desired.

💧 Option 3: Boiled with Cajun Butter

  1. Boil corn in salted water for 5–7 minutes.

  2. Drain and toss with melted Cajun butter.

  3. Garnish and serve hot.

🌶️ Homemade Cajun Seasoning (optional)

Mix together:

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tsp cayenne (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

Would you like it extra creamy (like Cajun street corn, with mayo and cheese) or keep it classic buttery and spicy?
