🥬 Cabbage Omelette Rolls

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 3 cups finely shredded cabbage
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk or water
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • Optional fillings: shredded cheese, cooked minced meat, ham, or vegetables

Instructions

  1. Prepare cabbage
    • Place shredded cabbage in a bowl.
    • Sprinkle lightly with salt and gently squeeze to soften (optional but helps texture).
  2. Make egg mixture
    • Whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper.
    • Stir in cabbage and onion (if using).
  3. Cook omelette
    • Heat oil or butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
    • Pour in egg–cabbage mixture, spreading evenly.
    • Cover and cook 5–7 minutes until mostly set.
    • Carefully flip (or slide onto a plate and invert back into pan).
    • Cook another 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add filling & roll
    • Sprinkle filling of choice over the omelette.
    • While warm, gently roll it up like a jelly roll.
  5. Slice & serve
    • Let rest 1 minute, then slice into rolls.
    • Serve warm with sour cream, yogurt, or dipping sauce.

Tips

  • Savoy or napa cabbage works best because it’s tender.
  • For extra flavor, add paprika or garlic powder to the eggs.
  • Can be eaten hot or cold—great for lunchboxes.
