⭐ Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Beef

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

For the Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sriracha or chili paste (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1–2 tsp cornstarch (for thickening)

Noodles & Veggies

  • 12 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti if needed)
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • Β½ cup snap peas or broccoli florets
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2–3 tbsp oil for stir-frying

1. Marinate the beef

  • Toss sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and Shaoxing wine.
  • Let marinate 10–20 minutes.

2. Cook noodles

  • Boil noodles according to package directions.
  • Drain, rinse briefly, and set aside.

3. Make the sauce

  • In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients.
  • Adjust sweetness or heat to taste.

4. Stir-fry the beef

  • Heat 1–2 tbsp oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
  • Add beef in a single layer; cook until browned (about 2 minutes).
  • Remove beef and set aside.

5. Cook vegetables

  • Add a bit more oil.
  • Stir-fry carrots, bell peppers, snap peas/broccoli, and cabbage until crisp-tender (3–4 minutes).
  • Add garlic and ginger; cook 30 seconds.

6. Combine everything

  • Return beef to the pan.
  • Add noodles and pour sauce over the top.
  • Use tongs to toss until everything is coated and sauce thickens.
  • Add green onions last.

7. Serve

  • Serve hot with extra soy sauce or chili paste on the side.
