A baked potato 🥔 is a simple, comforting dish with a crispy skin and fluffy inside—perfect as a side or even a full meal with toppings.


🌟 What is a Baked Potato?

A whole potato (usually a russet) baked in the oven until the inside becomes soft and the skin turns crispy.


🥔 Ingredients

  • 2–4 large potatoes (russet works best)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt (coarse or regular)
  • Optional: butter, sour cream, cheese, herbs

  1. Preheat oven
    • 200°C (400°F)
  2. Prep potatoes
    • Wash and scrub clean
    • Pat dry and prick each potato with a fork (prevents bursting)
  3. Season

    • Sprinkle with salt for crispy skin
  4. Bake
    • Place directly on oven rack or baking tray
