Baked egg omelette with cheese

Posted on December 14, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a simple and fluffy Baked Egg Omelette with Cheese recipe—easy to make, customizable, and perfect for breakfast or brunch:

Ingredients (serves 2–3)

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk or cream (optional, for extra fluffiness)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1/4 cup diced onion (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers, mushrooms, or other vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp butter or oil for greasing

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet with butter or oil.

2. Prepare Egg Mixture

  1. In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk until smooth.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in shredded cheese and any vegetables you like.

3. Bake

  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  2. Bake 20–25 minutes, or until the omelette is puffed, set, and lightly golden on top.
  3. Check doneness by inserting a knife or toothpick in the center—it should come out clean.

4. Serve

  • Slice and serve warm.
  • Optional garnish: fresh herbs like parsley, chives, or a sprinkle of extra cheese.

Tips & Variations

  • Meat lovers: Add cooked bacon, ham, or sausage.
  • Extra fluff: Beat the egg whites separately and fold in gently.
  • Individual portions: Use a muffin tin to make mini omelette cups.
  • Low-carb: Perfect as-is, skip any starchy additions.

If you want, I can give a super cheesy, creamy version that’s almost like a crustless quiche—extra decadent and silky. Do you want me to do that?
