Air Fryer Sausage and Peppers

Easy, fast, and ridiculously good—air fryer sausage and peppers is weeknight gold 🔥

🌶️🌭 Air Fryer Sausage & Peppers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage (sweet or hot)
  • 2–3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1½ tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Optional: red pepper flakes or balsamic drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Prep
    Toss peppers and onion with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook
    Add sausages and veggies to basket (keep sausages on top if possible).
    Air fry 12 minutes, shake or turn.
  4. Finish
    Continue cooking 6–8 minutes, until sausages hit 160°F (pork) and veggies are tender with charred edges.
  5. Rest & serve
    Rest sausages 2–3 minutes. Slice if desired.

  • Pile into hoagie rolls with mustard or marinara
  • Toss with pasta or gnocchi
  • Serve over rice or mashed potatoes
  • Add provolone or mozzarella and melt for the last 2 minutes

  • For extra browning, slice sausages lengthwise before cooking.
  • Don’t overcrowd—cook in batches if needed.
  • Finish with a splash of balsamic or sprinkle of parmesan for glow-up energy.
