Here’s a bold, buttery Cajun Lobster recipe—spicy, garlicky, and restaurant-quality but easy to make at home 🦞🔥


Cajun Lobster (Butter-Poached or Grilled)

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 2 whole lobster tails (or 4 small), split
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Salt & black pepper (if needed)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Method 1: Oven-Baked Cajun Lobster (Most Popular)

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Place lobster tails shell-side down on a baking sheet.
  3. Melt butter with olive oil; stir in garlic, Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne, and lemon juice.
  4. Brush generously over lobster meat.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes until lobster is opaque and tender (internal temp ~140°F / 60°C).
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Method 2: Grilled Cajun Lobster

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high.
  2. Brush lobster with Cajun butter.
  3. Grill shell-side down 6–8 minutes, basting once or twice.
  4. Finish with lemon and parsley.

Method 3: Cajun Butter-Poached Lobster (Extra Luxurious)

  1. Melt butter over very low heat (do not boil).
  2. Stir in Cajun seasoning and garlic.
  3. Add lobster meat and gently poach 8–10 minutes until tender.

Serving Ideas

  • Over creamy grits
  • With garlic mashed potatoes
  • Alongside corn on the cob
  • Tossed with pasta or rice

Tips

  • Don’t overcook—lobster turns rubbery fast.
  • Taste Cajun seasoning first (salt levels vary).
  • Add a drizzle of honey for a sweet-heat twist.
