cinnamon sugar donut

Soft, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth—Cinnamon Sugar Donuts 🍩✨
Here’s an easy way to make them at home, either baked or fried.


Cinnamon Sugar Donuts (Baked Version)

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1–2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2–3 tbsp melted butter (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients; stir until just mixed.
  5. Spoon batter into donut pan (fill about ¾ full).
  6. Bake 12–15 minutes, until lightly golden. Let cool 5 minutes.
  7. Brush donuts with melted butter, then toss in cinnamon sugar mixture.

Optional Variations

  • 🍫 Drizzle with chocolate glaze instead of cinnamon sugar
  • 🍎 Add a touch of apple or pumpkin puree to the batter
  • 🍩 Fry the batter in hot oil for traditional donuts

Tips

  • Don’t overmix the batter—keeps donuts light and fluffy
  • Freshly baked donuts are best eaten the same day
  • Mini donut pans work well for bite-sized treats
