Here’s a quick and tasty idea for Potato Cheese Snacks—crispy, cheesy, and perfect for a snack or appetizer! 🥔🧀


Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese you like)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: paprika, garlic powder, or herbs for extra flavor
  • Vegetable oil for frying (or use an air fryer for a lighter version)

Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes

  • Grate the potatoes and place them in a clean kitchen towel.
  • Squeeze out excess moisture to make the snacks crispier.

2. Make the Mixture

  • In a bowl, combine grated potatoes, shredded cheese, egg, flour, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
  • Mix until well combined.

3. Shape the Snacks

  • Form small patties or balls from the mixture.

4. Cook

Frying method:

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Fry the patties for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

Air fryer method:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly spray the patties with oil and air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden.

5. Serve

  • Serve hot with ketchup, sour cream, or your favorite dipping sauce.

💡 Tips:

  • You can add finely chopped onions, herbs, or cooked bacon bits for extra flavor.
  • For a healthier version, bake the patties at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
