Chocolate covered brownie bars

Posted on December 6, 2025 by Admin

Got it! Here’s a simple and delicious way to make chocolate-covered brownie bars at home:

Ingredients:

For the brownies:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (35g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

For the chocolate coating:

  • 1 1/2 cups (270g) chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven & prep pan:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving extra hanging over the edges for easy removal.
  2. Make the brownies:
    • Melt butter and let it cool slightly.
    • In a bowl, mix melted butter with sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
    • Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  3. Bake:
    • Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
    • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are fine).
    • Let brownies cool completely.
  4. Cut into bars:
    • Lift brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper.
    • Cut into squares or rectangles.
  5. Melt chocolate coating:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Coat the brownies:
    • Dip each brownie bar into the melted chocolate, or pour chocolate over the top and spread evenly.
    • Place bars on parchment paper to set.
  7. Set & serve:
    • Let chocolate set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes.
    • Enjoy your chocolate-covered brownie bars!

If you want, I can also give you a shortcut “no-bake” version that’s even faster but just as decadent.

Do you want me to share that version too?
