Beef and broccoli noodles

Here’s a quick, flavorful Beef & Broccoli Noodles recipe—tender beef, crisp broccoli, and slurpable noodles in a glossy, garlicky sauce.


🍜 Beef & Broccoli Noodles

Ingredients (2–3 servings)

For the Stir-Fry

  • 250–300 g beef (flank, skirt, sirloin, or ribeye), thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 200–250 g noodles (lo mein, udon, rice noodles, or egg noodles)
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)

Beef Marinade

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Shaoxing wine (optional)
  • Pinch of pepper

Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce (optional, for color)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin (optional, sweeter)
  • 1–2 tsp brown sugar
  • ½ cup beef or chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (to thicken)

🥢 Instructions

1. Prep the Beef

  • Toss sliced beef with the marinade.
  • Let sit 10–20 min.

2. Prepare the Noodles

  • Cook noodles until just shy of done.
  • Rinse lightly under cold water to prevent sticking.
  • Set aside.

3. Make the Sauce

Whisk all sauce ingredients together until smooth.

4. Cook the Broccoli

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan/wok.
  • Add broccoli and a splash of water; stir-fry until bright green and crisp-tender (2–3 min).
  • Remove and set aside.

5. Cook the Beef

  • Add remaining oil.
  • Stir-fry beef on high heat until just browned (1–2 min).
  • Add garlic & ginger; cook 30 seconds.

6. Bring It All Together

  • Return broccoli to the pan.
  • Add cooked noodles.
  • Pour in sauce.
  • Toss for 1–2 minutes until glossy and thickened.

  • Chili crisp
  • Sliced bell peppers
  • Mushrooms
  • Carrots
  • Cashews or sesame seeds
  • A squeeze of lime
