Here’s a flavorful, easy recipe for Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin—sweet, savory, and perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or meal prep.


🐖🍯 Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1–1½ lb pork tenderloin
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a touch of heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven (if roasting)

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Sear the pork

  1. Pat pork dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear pork 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.

3. Make honey garlic sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix: honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes.

4. Cook pork with sauce

Oven method:

  • Pour sauce over pork.
  • Transfer skillet to oven and roast 15–20 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Baste occasionally with sauce.

Stovetop method:

  • After searing, reduce heat to medium-low, pour sauce over pork, cover, and simmer 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally.

5. Rest and serve

  • Let pork rest 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Spoon sauce over slices and garnish with fresh parsley.

🔄 Variations

  • Sticky Glaze: Reduce sauce over medium heat for 3–5 minutes until thicker and more syrupy.
  • Asian-inspired: Add a splash of sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Citrus twist: Add 1–2 tsp orange or lime juice to the sauce for brightness.
  • Slow cooker version: Sear pork, then cook with sauce on low 4–5 hours for fall-apart tenderness.
