Here’s a simple homemade chocolate bar recipe you can make with a few ingredients. You can customize it with nuts, dried fruit, or other mix-ins.


🍫 Homemade Chocolate Bar Recipe

Ingredients (Makes 2–3 bars)

  • 1 cup chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or dark), chopped or chocolate chips
  • 1–2 tsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for smoother texture)
  • Optional mix-ins:
    • ¼ cup chopped nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts)
    • 2–3 tbsp dried fruit (cranberries, raisins, cherries)
    • 1–2 tbsp seeds (pumpkin, sunflower)
    • A pinch of sea salt or spices like cinnamon

Instructions

1. Melt the chocolate

  • Use a double boiler or a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  • Stir frequently until smooth.
  • Optional: add coconut oil or butter to make it shinier and easier to pour.

2. Prepare mold

  • Line a small loaf pan, silicone mold, or a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • This makes it easy to remove the chocolate bars later.

3. Add mix-ins

  • If using nuts, seeds, or dried fruit, fold them into the melted chocolate.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared mold and spread evenly.

4. Chill

  • Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until completely set.

5. Slice and serve

  • Remove from mold, peel off parchment, and cut into bars.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 1–2 weeks.

🔄 Variations

  • Nut butter chocolate bar: Swirl peanut butter or almond butter into the melted chocolate before setting.
  • Crunchy cereal bar: Mix in puffed rice or granola.
  • Spiced chocolate: Add ½ tsp cinnamon, chili, or espresso powder for a twist.
  • White or milk chocolate: Swap dark chocolate for milk or white chocolate and adjust sweetness.
