Here’s a Cajun Shrimp & Steak Alfredo Pasta that’s rich, spicy, creamy, and absolutely restaurant-level. This dish brings together blackened steak, juicy Cajun shrimp, and a silky homemade Alfredo sauce.

🍤🥩🍝 Cajun Shrimp & Steak Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients (4 servings)

For the steak & shrimp

  • 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank), sliced or left whole
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2–3 tbsp Cajun seasoning (divided)
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional, for color)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter (for cooking)

For the pasta

  • 12 oz fettuccine (or penne)

For the Alfredo sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • ½ tsp Cajun seasoning (or more to taste)
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1–2 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Cook the pasta

Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.
Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

2. Season the steak and shrimp

  • Toss shrimp with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning + salt + pepper.
  • Season steak (sliced or whole) with 1–2 tbsp Cajun seasoning + salt + pepper.

3. Cook the steak

Heat 1 tbsp oil/butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

If using whole steak:

  • Sear 3–4 min per side (medium), rest, then slice.

If using pre-sliced steak strips:

  • Cook 2–3 minutes until browned.
    Remove and set aside.

4. Cook the shrimp

Add another tablespoon of oil/butter.
Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Remove and set aside.

5. Make the Alfredo sauce

In the same pan (with browned bits for flavor):

  1. Melt 2 tbsp butter.
  2. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in heavy cream; stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add Parmesan slowly, stirring until melted.
  5. Add ½ tsp Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and optional lemon juice.
  6. Thin with pasta water if needed.

6. Combine

Add pasta to the sauce and toss well.

Top with:

  • The Cajun shrimp
  • The sliced/seared steak

Let everything warm together for 1–2 minutes.

7. Garnish & Serve

Sprinkle with parsley and extra Parmesan.
Serve hot!

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Extra spicy: Add Cajun seasoning or chili flakes to the sauce.
  • Creamier: Add 2 oz cream cheese to the Alfredo.
  • Smoky: Add a chopped chipotle pepper in adobo.
