Posted on November 25, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a bold, sweet-heat Raspberry Chipotle Party Ribs recipe — sticky, glossy, tender, and perfect for game day, potlucks, or backyard gatherings. You can make them in the oven, grill, or slow cooker.

🔥🍇 Raspberry Chipotle Party Ribs

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

For the Ribs

  • 2–3 lbs pork baby back ribs or St. Louis–style ribs
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder

Raspberry Chipotle Sauce

  • 1 cup raspberry preserves (seedless preferred)
  • 2–3 chipotle peppers in adobo, minced
  • 1–2 tbsp adobo sauce (for extra heat)
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional for depth)
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • Pinch of salt

🧑‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the Ribs

  1. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs if it’s still attached.
  2. Rub ribs with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and chili powder.
  3. Let sit 15 minutes while you prepare the sauce.

2. Make the Raspberry Chipotle Sauce

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine:
    • raspberry preserves
    • minced chipotle peppers
    • adobo sauce
    • apple cider vinegar
    • brown sugar
    • Worcestershire
    • soy sauce (optional)
    • lime juice
  2. Stir until smooth.
  3. Simmer 5–7 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened.
  4. Taste — add more chipotle for heat or more preserves for sweetness.

🍖 Cooking Methods

Oven Method (Best for Party Servings)

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet, meat side up.
  3. Cover tightly with foil.
  4. Bake 2½–3 hours, until tender.
  5. Remove foil and brush generously with raspberry chipotle sauce.
  6. Increase heat to 425°F and bake another 10–15 minutes to caramelize.

Slow Cooker Method (Easiest)

  1. Place seasoned ribs in slow cooker (cut racks to fit).
  2. Pour 1 cup of the sauce over the ribs.
  3. Cook:
    • LOW 7–8 hours or
    • HIGH 3–4 hours
  4. Carefully remove — ribs will be tender.
  5. Brush with remaining sauce and broil 5 minutes to get caramelized edges.

Grill Method (Best Flavor)

  1. Preheat grill to medium-low.
  2. Wrap ribs tightly in foil and cook over indirect heat 2–2½ hours.
  3. Remove foil.
  4. Brush with sauce and grill 5–10 minutes over direct heat until charred and glossy.
