Posted on November 20, 2025 by Admin

Baked Cajun shrimp sounds delicious! It’s a simple yet flavorful dish that combines the spicy kick of Cajun seasoning with the natural sweetness of shrimp. Here’s a quick recipe for baked Cajun shrimp:

Baked Cajun Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off, based on your preference)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra depth of flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional, for a fresh zing)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the shrimp are evenly coated with the seasoning mix.
  3. Arrange Shrimp on a Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Spread the seasoned shrimp in a single layer on the sheet.
  4. Bake the Shrimp: Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. You can also broil them for the last 2 minutes if you want a bit of char on top.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Once the shrimp are done, remove from the oven and drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

You can enjoy these Cajun shrimp on their own, toss them over pasta, serve with a side of rice, or even make shrimp tacos! Let me know if you need more details or variations!
