Here’s a tasty, easy Beef & Pepper Rice Bowl recipe — quick to make, full of flavor, and perfect for weeknights.


⭐ Beef & Pepper Rice Bowl

Ingredients (2–3 servings)

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or thinly sliced beef
  • 1 large bell pepper (any color), sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1–2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional but great for flavor)
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce or 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp crushed red chili (optional)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Cooked rice (white rice or jasmine rice)

Optional toppings: sliced green onion, sesame seeds, fried egg


⭐ Instructions

1. Prepare the base

Cook your rice and keep warm.

2. Cook the beef

  1. Heat oil in a skillet on medium-high.
  2. Add the beef and cook until browned.
  3. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat if needed.

3. Add aromatics & veggies

  1. Add the onions and cook 1–2 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and sliced bell pepper.
  3. Stir-fry until peppers are tender but still crisp.

4. Add the sauce

  1. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin/sugar, black pepper, and chili flakes.
  2. Stir well and simmer 1–2 minutes until glossy and coated.

5. Assemble the bowl

  1. Spoon beef-and-pepper mixture over warm rice.
  2. Top with green onions or a fried egg if you like.

⭐ Flavor Variations

  • Teriyaki style: Replace hoisin with teriyaki sauce.
  • Spicy Korean style: Add gochujang (1 tbsp).
  • Extra vegetables: Add carrots, broccoli, or snap peas.
  • Pakistani-style: Add ½ tsp cumin + ¼ tsp garam masala + green chilies.
