Meat Layer

  • 1 lb ground beef

Cheese & Toppings

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

1. Make the crust (if using Biscuit Crust Option)

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
  4. Stir in milk just until dough forms.
  5. Press dough into the bottom and halfway up the sides of a greased deep pie dish or 9×9 baking dish.

If using pre-made pizza dough:
Press it into the pan and pre-bake for 8 minutes.


2. Cook the meat

  1. In a large skillet, cook beef and sausage over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add onion and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Drain excess fat.
  5. Add pizza sauce and simmer 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.

3. Assemble the pie

  1. Spread half the mozzarella over the crust.
  2. Add all the meat mixture on top.
  3. Sprinkle cheddar (if using).
  4. Add the remaining mozzarella.
  5. Top with pepperoni slices and parmesan.

4. Bake

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–35 minutes, or until:

  • The cheese is melted and golden,
  • Crust edges are cooked through,
  • Pepperoni is slightly crisp.

Let sit 10 minutes before slicing — it firms up beautifully.
