Ah, spicy shrimp wraps with chipotle sauce—a perfect combination of heat, creaminess, and freshness! Here’s a flavorful recipe you can make at home:


Ingredients (for 4 wraps)

For the shrimp:

  • 500 g (1 lb) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder or cayenne (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the chipotle sauce:

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1–2 tsp chipotle in adobo sauce (from a can), minced
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • Pinch of salt

For the wraps:

  • 4 large tortillas or flatbreads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or mixed greens
  • ½ cup shredded carrot
  • ½ cup sliced avocado
  • Optional: diced tomatoes, red onion, or cilantro for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Make the chipotle sauce:
    In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, minced chipotle, lime juice, garlic, and salt. Adjust spiciness to your liking. Set aside.
  2. Cook the shrimp:
    • Toss shrimp with olive oil, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  3. Assemble the wraps:
    • Warm the tortillas slightly.
    • Spread a generous layer of chipotle sauce on each tortilla.
    • Add lettuce, carrot, avocado, and any optional veggies.
    • Top with cooked shrimp.
  4. Wrap and serve:
    Fold the sides over and roll tightly. Cut in half if desired. Serve immediately.

These wraps are spicy, creamy, and crunchy all at once, perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner.
