Posted on November 15, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a simple, delicious Bacon & Cheese Bread recipe—soft, savory, and packed with flavor. You can make it as a pull-apart loaf, a quick bread, or a yeasted bread. Below is the easiest quick bread version (no rising required).

🥓🧀 Bacon & Cheese Bread (Quick Bread)

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional but great)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Wet ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • ⅓ cup melted butter or neutral oil

Mix-ins

  • 1–1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar works best, but any melty cheese is fine)
  • 6–8 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onion or chives (optional)

Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment.

2. Mix the dry ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together:

  • Flour
  • Baking powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

3. Mix the wet ingredients

In another bowl, whisk:

  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Melted butter

4. Combine

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
  • Stir just until combined (don’t overmix).
  • Fold in:
    • Shredded cheese
    • Cooked bacon
    • Green onion

5. Bake

  • Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
  • Top with extra cheese or bacon if you want it extra indulgent.
  • Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool 10 minutes before slicing.
