Here’s a simple, tasty way to make tortilla wraps with ground beef. I’ll break it down step by step:


Ingredients (for 4 wraps)

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 400–500 g (≈1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, avocado

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef:
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
    • Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add flavor:
    • Add chopped onion and garlic to the beef and cook until softened.
    • Stir in chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook for 2–3 more minutes to let the spices meld.
  3. Warm the tortillas:
    • Heat tortillas in a dry skillet for 20–30 seconds per side, or wrap in foil and warm in the oven.
  4. Assemble the wraps:
    • Place some beef mixture in the center of each tortilla.
    • Sprinkle with shredded cheese and add any optional toppings.
    • Fold the sides over and roll tightly.
  5. Optional step – melt the cheese:
    • Place wrapped tortillas seam-side down on a skillet for 1–2 minutes to melt the cheese and give a slight crisp.
  6. Serve:
    • Cut in half and enjoy immediately with salsa or sour cream on the side.
