Big Mac French Toast

Posted on November 10, 2025November 10, 2025 by Admin

Big Mac French Toast is a fun and savory twist on classic French toast. It’s the ultimate indulgent comfort food, combining the flavors of a Big Mac burger with the crispy, buttery goodness of French toast. If you’re a fan of savory breakfast dishes (and Big Macs!), this one is for you!

Ingredients:

For the French Toast:

  • 4 slices of thick bread (Brioche or Texas Toast works great!)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk or heavy cream
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika (optional for a bit of smokiness)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter (for frying)

For the Big Mac “toppings”:

  • 1/2 lb ground beef (seasoned with salt and pepper)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1-2 slices American cheese (optional)
  • Shredded lettuce (for crunch)
  • 2-3 slices pickles
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

Instructions:

1. Make the French Toast:

  • Whisk the custard: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Soak the bread: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter to coat the surface.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are well coated. Let the excess drip off before placing the bread onto the skillet.
  • Cook the French Toast: Cook each slice for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Set the French toast aside and keep warm.

2. Prepare the “Big Mac” Toppings:

  • Cook the ground beef: In a separate skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Once cooked through (about 5-7 minutes), drain any excess fat and set aside.
  • Make the sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, and sweet pickle relish to create the Big Mac sauce.

3. Assemble the Big Mac French Toast:

  • Layer the French toast: Place one slice of French toast on a plate as the base. Top with a spoonful of the cooked ground beef, followed by a drizzle of Big Mac sauce, a slice of American cheese (if using), and some shredded lettuce.
  • Add pickles and onions: Layer on a few pickle slices and some finely chopped onions for that classic Big Mac crunch.
  • Top with another slice of French toast: Add a second slice of French toast on top of the fillings to complete the “sandwich.”

4. Serve:

  • Serve your Big Mac French Toast as a savory breakfast or a fun brunch dish. You can serve it with extra pickles on the side and more Big Mac sauce for dipping if you’d like.

Tips:

  • Cheese: If you want it even cheesier, melt the cheese over the cooked beef before assembling the sandwich.
  • Optional Garnishes: You can add some extra shredded lettuce, or even top it with a fried egg for an extra indulgent touch.
  • Side Options: Pair it with some crispy hashbrowns or fries for the full “Big Mac” experience!

This Big Mac French Toast recipe takes the best of both worlds — the crispy, eggy French toast and the savory, tangy goodness of a Big Mac — and turns it into a fun, over-the-top dish. Perfect for when you’re craving something wild and unique!
