Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Posted on November 10, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a delicious Philly Cheesesteak Sliders recipe—perfect for parties, game day, or a fun dinner:

Ingredients (Makes ~12 sliders)

  • 1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin works best)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 12 slider buns or small rolls
  • 6–8 slices provolone cheese (or American cheese)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    • Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook onions and peppers:
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened (~5–6 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. Cook the beef:
    • In the same skillet, season the beef with salt and pepper.
    • Cook until just browned, about 3–5 minutes.
  4. Assemble sliders:
    • Slice slider buns in half horizontally.
    • Layer cooked beef, onions, and peppers on the bottom halves of the buns.
    • Top with slices of provolone cheese. Place the top buns on.
  5. Bake (optional, for melty cheese and warm sliders):
    • Brush tops of buns with melted butter.
    • Wrap the assembled sliders in foil and bake 10–12 minutes, until cheese is melted and sliders are heated through.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve warm as a party appetizer or main dish.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or a drizzle of mayonnaise/mustard on the buns.
  • You can also broil the sliders for 2–3 minutes at the end to get a crispy top.
  • Use hoagie rolls or small sub rolls if you want a more traditional Philly feel.

I can also give a slow-cooker version where the beef and peppers cook together and then you just assemble the sliders—super easy for game day.
