Here’s a simple, savory, and creamy recipe for a Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Bake — perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a snack. 🌯🧀

🌭 Ingredients (serves 6–8)

  • 1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tube (8 oz / 225 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions or chives for garnish

🔪 Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook the sausage

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked.
  • Drain excess grease.
  • Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Let cool slightly.

3. Prepare the cream cheese mixture

  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with ½ cup shredded cheese until creamy and smooth.

4. Assemble the bake

  1. Roll out the crescent dough and layer it on the bottom of the baking dish, pinching seams to seal.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
  3. Top with cooked sausage.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup cheese over the top.

5. Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the crescent dough is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve

  • Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or chives if desired.

💡 Tips

  • Add veggies: Sautéed bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms can be added to the sausage for extra flavor.
  • Make it spicy: Mix a little chopped jalapeño into the cream cheese or sausage.
  • Make ahead: Assemble the night before and refrigerate; bake in the morning for a quick breakfast.

I can also give you a bite-sized version where you roll sausage and cream cheese into individual crescent pinwheels — perfect for parties or easy grab-and-go breakfasts. Do you want that version?
