Ingredients (per sandwich)

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 2–3 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite)
  • 1–2 tsp butter or margarine, softened

Optional: Add tomato slices, cooked bacon, or avocado for extra flavor.


Instructions

  1. Prep the bread: Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread. This will become the outside that gets crispy.
  2. Assemble the sandwich: Place the cheese between the unbuttered sides of the bread so the buttered sides face out.
  3. Preheat the air fryer: Set to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Air fry the sandwich:

  5. Check for doneness: The bread should be golden brown and the cheese melted. Add 1–2 extra minutes if needed.
