Posted on March 27, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple, crowd-pleasing recipe for Honey Garlic Meatballs 🍯🧄—perfect as an appetizer, main dish, or party snack.

🍖 Honey Garlic Meatballs

🛒 Ingredients (Makes ~20 meatballs)

For the meatballs:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

For the honey garlic sauce:

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tsp water (for thickening, optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make the meatballs

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form into small, bite-sized balls (~1 inch).
  4. Place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes, until cooked through.

2. Make the honey garlic sauce

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and vinegar.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Optional: Mix cornstarch with water and stir in to thicken the sauce.

3. Combine

  • Toss the baked meatballs in the sauce until evenly coated.
  • Serve immediately with rice, noodles, or as a finger-food appetizer.

🔥 Tips:

  • Crispier meatballs: Pan-fry meatballs lightly before tossing in sauce.
  • Extra garlic punch: Roast garlic before adding to the sauce.
  • Make ahead: Meatballs can be cooked and refrigerated; reheat in sauce before serving.

If you want, I can also give you a slow-cooker version where the meatballs cook right in the honey garlic sauce—super easy and hands-off.

Do you want me to do that?
