Homemade night cream rich in collagen

Posted on March 26, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a natural, homemade night cream rich in collagen-boosting ingredients that can help moisturize your skin, improve elasticity, and support healthy skin repair overnight.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons raw shea butter (deeply moisturizing)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (hydrating and antibacterial)
  • 1 teaspoon rosehip oil (rich in vitamin C and promotes collagen production)
  • 1 teaspoon almond oil (softens and nourishes skin)
  • 5–6 drops vitamin E oil (antioxidant, helps skin repair)
  • Optional: 3–4 drops essential oil like lavender or frankincense for fragrance and skin benefits

Instructions

  1. Melt Base Oils
    • In a double boiler, gently melt shea butter and coconut oil until just liquefied.
  2. Mix in Oils
    • Remove from heat. Add rosehip oil, almond oil, and vitamin E oil. Stir thoroughly.
  3. Cool & Whip
    • Let the mixture cool slightly, then use a hand whisk or electric mixer to whip until creamy and fluffy.
  4. Add Essential Oils
    • Add essential oils if desired and mix well.
  5. Store
    • Transfer into a clean jar with a lid. Store in a cool, dry place. The cream can last up to 2–3 months.

How to Use

  • Apply a small amount to clean face and neck before bed.
  • Gently massage in upward, circular motions to promote circulation.
  • Avoid contact with eyes.

Why This Cream Boosts Collagen

  • Rosehip oil: Rich in vitamin C, which stimulates collagen synthesis.
  • Vitamin E: Antioxidant that protects collagen from free radical damage.
  • Shea butter & coconut oil: Provide hydration that supports skin repair and elasticity.
  • Almond oil: Nourishes skin and reduces fine lines.

💡 Tip: For extra collagen support, consider adding a small pinch of hydrolyzed collagen powder into the whipped cream—mix well to dissolve.

I can also make a “super collagen night cream” version with hyaluronic acid and natural peptides for extra firming if you want a more advanced DIY formula. Do you want me to do that?
