Boursin cheese pasta

Here’s a simple, creamy, and flavorful way to make Boursin cheese pasta—perfect for a quick weeknight meal or indulgent comfort dish.


Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 200–250 g pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 100 g Boursin cheese (garlic & herb or your preferred flavor)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup cream or milk (optional for extra creaminess)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta: Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté aromatics: In a large pan, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic and cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add Boursin: Lower the heat and stir in Boursin cheese until melted. Add cream or milk if you want a looser, creamier sauce.
  4. Combine pasta & sauce: Add drained pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  5. Season & serve: Season with salt and pepper, garnish with fresh parsley or chives, and sprinkle Parmesan if desired. Serve hot.

Optional Add-Ins

  • Sautéed mushrooms or spinach
  • Cherry tomatoes or roasted red peppers
  • Cooked chicken, shrimp, or pancetta for protein

💡 Tip: Boursin melts quickly, so keep the heat moderate to avoid curdling.
