Here’s a soft, buttery breadsticks recipe—perfect with creamy chicken or potatoes:


🥖 Homemade Breadsticks

📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

For topping:

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (or fresh minced garlic)
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano or mixed herbs
  • Optional: grated cheese

🍳 Instructions:

  1. Make the dough
    In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and oil. Knead for 8–10 minutes until soft and smooth.
  2. Let it rise
    Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Shape the breadsticks
    Roll the dough into a rectangle, then cut into strips. Twist or leave straight.
  4. Second rise (optional)
    Let them rest for 15–20 minutes for extra softness.
  5. Bake
    Place on a baking tray and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Add topping
    Brush with melted butter, sprinkle garlic and herbs, and add cheese if you like.

🍽️ Tips:

  • For extra softness, brush with butter right after baking
  • Serve with garlic sauce, cheese dip, or creamy dishes
  • You can stuff them with cheese before baking 😋
