Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken

Posted on March 23, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a recipe for Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated in a sweet-savory sauce:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2–3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • Optional: chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare chicken: Pat chicken pieces dry. Toss in flour, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Cook chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Make sauce: In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Stir and cook 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine: Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Cook another 1–2 minutes until everything is hot and sticky.
  5. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.

Tips:

  • For extra crispiness, dredge chicken in flour then cornstarch mix.
  • Adjust honey and soy sauce ratio to taste: more honey for sweetness, more soy sauce for saltiness.
  • You can finish in a 375°F (190°C) oven for 5–10 minutes to make it even crunchier.

If you want, I can also give an oven-baked version that’s crispy without deep-frying, perfect for an easier cleanup.

Do you want me to do that?
