🥗 Cucumber, Tomato, and Onion Salad

A Cucumber, tomato, and onion salad is a simple, refreshing dish made with crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, and sharp onions, often dressed with olive oil, vinegar, or lemon juice. It’s a classic side for barbecues, grilled meats, or summer meals.


Ingredients

  • 1–2 Cucumber, sliced or diced
  • 2–3 Tomatoes, diced or sliced
  • 1 small Onion, thinly sliced (red onion works well)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice
  • Salt and Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley, dill, or feta cheese

How to Make It

  1. Prepare vegetables
    Wash and slice the cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions.
  2. Combine in a bowl
    Mix the vegetables gently so they don’t get mushy.
  3. Add dressing
    Drizzle olive oil and vinegar (or lemon juice). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Optional garnish
    Add herbs or crumbled cheese for extra flavor.
  5. Chill (optional)
    Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to let flavors meld.

Tips

  • Use ripe tomatoes and crisp cucumbers for the best flavor.
  • Red onions are milder than white onions and add a nice color contrast.
  • For a tangy twist, add a pinch of sugar to the dressing.
