đŸ„ Cinnamon Roll

Cinnamon roll is a soft, sweet pastry made from rolled dough filled with cinnamon, sugar, and butter, then baked and usually topped with icing or cream cheese frosting. It’s a popular treat for breakfast, dessert, or coffee breaks.

Main Ingredients

  • Flour
  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • Yeast
  • Cinnamon
  • Brown sugar
  • Optional: cream cheese frosting or glaze

Basic Cinnamon Roll Recipe

1. Make the dough
Mix warm milk, yeast, sugar, butter, eggs, and flour. Knead until smooth and let it rise until doubled.

2. Add filling
Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread butter, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.

3. Roll and cut
Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls about 1–2 inches thick.

4. Second rise
Place rolls in a baking dish and let them rise again for about 20–30 minutes.

5. Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20–25 minutes until golden.

6. Add frosting
Spread cream cheese frosting or glaze while the rolls are warm.

Tips for Soft Cinnamon Rolls

  • Use warm (not hot) milk so the yeast works properly.
  • Don’t overbake—soft rolls are best.
  • Adding a little heavy cream before baking makes them extra gooey.

Fun Fact

Cinnamon rolls are especially famous in Sweden, where they’re called kanelbullar and are traditionally eaten during coffee breaks known as Fika. â˜•đŸ„
