Chicken and Rice in a Black Crock Pot

Posted on March 14, 2026 by Admin

Chicken and Rice in a Crock-Pot slow cooker is an easy one-pot meal where chicken, rice, and seasonings cook slowly together until tender and flavorful. πŸ—πŸš

Ingredients

  • 2–3 chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, or corn)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Simple Cooking Method

  1. Add chicken to the bottom of the Crock-Pot.
  2. Add rice and vegetables around the chicken.
  3. Pour chicken broth over everything.
  4. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook:
    • Low: 4–5 hours
    • High: 2–3 hours
  6. Stir gently before serving and shred the chicken if desired.

Tips

  • Use long-grain white rice so it cooks evenly.
  • If rice becomes dry, add a little extra broth.
  • For a creamy version, mix in a can of cream of chicken soup near the end of cooking.

πŸ’‘ Serving idea: This dish pairs well with a simple salad or warm Naan or bread on the side.
