Boiled egg is an egg that has been cooked in its shell in boiling water until the white and yolk are set. It’s a versatile, protein-rich food commonly eaten for breakfast, snacks, or in salads. πŸ₯š


Types of Boiled Eggs

  • Soft-boiled: Whites are set, yolk is runny (about 4–6 minutes)
  • Medium-boiled: Slightly firmer yolk (about 7–8 minutes)
  • Hard-boiled: Both whites and yolk are fully set (about 9–12 minutes)

How to Make a Hard-Boiled Egg

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once boiling, turn off the heat and cover.
  4. Let eggs sit for 9–12 minutes depending on size.
  5. Drain and cool in ice water to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
