Cheesy Carrot Flatbreads

Posted on March 10, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Cheesy Carrot Flatbreads β€” soft, flavorful, and perfect as a snack or light meal!

πŸ₯• Cheesy Carrot Flatbreads Recipe

Ingredients (makes 6–8 flatbreads)

  • 1 cup grated carrot (about 2 medium carrots)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (can substitute part with whole wheat)
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder (optional, for fluffiness)
  • 1–2 tablespoons oil or butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. Prepare the carrot mixture:
    • Grate the carrots and squeeze gently to remove excess water.
    • In a bowl, combine grated carrot, flour, cheese, yogurt, salt, pepper, and baking powder.
    • Mix to form a soft dough. If too dry, add a little water; if too sticky, add a bit more flour.
  2. Divide and roll:
    • Divide the dough into 6–8 equal portions.
    • Roll each portion into a small flatbread (about 1/4 inch thick) on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cook the flatbreads:
    • Heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat.
    • Add a little oil or butter.
    • Cook each flatbread 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Serve warm:
    • Enjoy as is, or with yogurt dip, chutney, or your favorite sauce.

Tips for Extra Flavor

  • Add chopped herbs like coriander, parsley, or chives.
  • Sprinkle extra cheese on top while cooking for a cheesy crust.
  • Mix in a pinch of garlic powder or paprika for a subtle kick.

πŸ’‘ Quick note: These flatbreads are soft, cheesy, and slightly sweet from the carrot β€” perfect for a healthy snack or kid-friendly lunch.

I can also give you a shortcut microwave version that makes them ready in under 10 minutes if you want. Do you want me to share that?
