Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro

Cooking Steps

  1. Marinate the Chicken
    • Combine all marinade ingredients with chicken and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  2. Cook the Chicken
    • Grill, pan-fry, or roast the chicken until fully cooked and slightly charred at the edges.
  3. Assemble the Rolls
    • Place cooked chicken on flatbread.
    • Add vegetables, pickles, and drizzle with sauce.
    • Roll tightly and serve warm.

Tips for Extra Flavor

  • Use a vertical rotisserie (if available) for authentic shawarma texture.
  • Warm the flatbread before rolling to make it soft and pliable.
  • Add a dash of sumac or chili flakes for extra zest.
