Here’s a delicious Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs recipe—perfect for parties, appetizers, or a flavorful snack:


Ingredients (makes 12 deviled eggs)

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3–4 oz cooked shrimp (small or medium), chopped
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning (plus extra for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Method

1. Cook the Eggs

  • Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling, cover and remove from heat. Let sit 10–12 minutes.
  • Cool in ice water and peel.

2. Prepare the Filling

  • Slice eggs in half lengthwise and remove yolks into a bowl.
  • Mash yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning until smooth.

3. Add Shrimp

  • Fold in chopped cooked shrimp, reserving a few small pieces for garnish.

4. Assemble the Eggs

  • Spoon or pipe yolk mixture back into egg whites.
  • Top each egg with a small shrimp piece and a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning.
  • Garnish with chives or parsley if desired.

5. Serve

  • Chill for at least 15–20 minutes before serving for best flavor.

  • Use pre-cooked shrimp to save time.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste—add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne for extra heat.
