Chicken Rissoles

Posted on March 5, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Chicken Rissoles — tender, flavorful, and perfect as a snack, lunch, or dinner.

🍗 Chicken Rissoles

Servings: 4–6
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15–20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: ½ tsp paprika, chili flakes, or grated carrot for extra flavor
  • 2–3 tbsp oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture
    • In a bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, salt, pepper, and any optional spices.
    • Mix until fully combined.
  2. Shape the rissoles
    • Take a small handful of mixture and form into flat oval patties (about 2–3 inches in diameter).
  3. Cook the rissoles
    • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Fry rissoles 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
    • Drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve
    • Serve hot with salad, rice, potatoes, or as a sandwich.

Tips

  • For extra crispiness, coat rissoles lightly in flour or breadcrumbs before frying.
  • Can also bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway.
  • Freeze uncooked rissoles for a convenient ready-to-cook meal.

💡 Variation: Mix in grated cheese or chopped vegetables into the chicken mixture for more flavor and texture.

I can also make a visual step-by-step guide showing how to shape and fry chicken rissoles—it’s really helpful for first-timers.
