Baked crab legs

Posted on March 4, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious way to prepare Baked Crab Legs—quick, flavorful, and perfect for a seafood dinner:

Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

  • 2 lbs (≈900 g) crab legs (king or snow crab)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Crab Legs:
    • If frozen, thaw crab legs in the refrigerator overnight or run under cold water.
    • Use kitchen scissors to cut along the shell if you want easier access to the meat.
  3. Make Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble for Baking:
    • Place crab legs in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet.
    • Brush generously with garlic butter.
    • Cover loosely with foil to keep them moist.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until heated through. Crab legs are usually pre-cooked, so you’re just warming them.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve hot with extra melted butter, lemon wedges, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

💡 Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the baking sheet before covering with foil.
  • Serve with sides like garlic bread, roasted vegetables, or a light salad.
  • Don’t overcook! Crab meat can dry out quickly if baked too long.

If you want, I can also give a broil-and-char version that gives the crab legs a slightly smoky, caramelized finish—almost like a restaurant-style presentation.

Do you want that version?
