Posted on March 4, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious recipe for Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars — a sweet, crunchy, and gooey treat perfect for dessert or snacks.

🍫 Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars

Ingredients (Makes ~12 bars)

For the base:

  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup sugar

For the caramel layer:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For the chocolate layer:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the base

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix crispy rice cereal, graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until evenly combined.
  3. Press mixture into a greased 9×9-inch baking pan to form an even layer.
  4. Bake 8–10 minutes, then set aside to cool slightly.

2. Make the caramel

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt sugar until golden brown, stirring constantly.
  2. Carefully add butter and stir until melted.
  3. Remove from heat and slowly stir in heavy cream and salt until smooth.

3. Layer caramel and bake

  1. Pour the caramel over the cooled base and spread evenly.
  2. Bake 5–7 minutes for a slightly firmer caramel layer.

4. Add chocolate topping

  1. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel.
  2. Let sit 2–3 minutes to melt, then spread into an even layer.
  3. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt for extra flavor.

5. Chill and cut

  1. Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours until firm.
  2. Remove from pan and cut into bars.

Tips

  • For extra crunch, add chopped nuts (pecans or almonds) to the base or caramel layer.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for a richer taste.

If you want, I can also give a no-bake version of these bars that sets in the fridge in 30 minutes — perfect if you want a quick, crunchy caramel chocolate treat.

Do you want me to share that no-bake version?
