Tortilla rolnice

Posted on October 23, 2025 by Admin

Ah — Tortilla Rolnice (also known as tortilla rolls or pinwheels) are a super easy, no-bake appetizer or snack made from soft tortillas rolled up with a creamy filling, then sliced into bite-sized rounds. 🌀🌯

They’re great for parties, lunchboxes, or quick bites — and you can fill them with anything from ham and cheese to veggies or tuna salad.

Tortilla Rolnice (Savory Tortilla Rolls)

Servings: 20–25 slices (from 4 tortillas)

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Chill Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 large flour tortillas (8–10 inches)

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or Greek yogurt

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or gouda)

  • 1/2 cup diced ham, chicken, or smoked salmon (optional)

  • 1/2 cup chopped vegetables (bell pepper, cucumber, or pickles)

  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives), optional

Instructions:

  1. Make the filling:

    • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise (or yogurt), garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.

    • Stir in cheese, meat, vegetables, and herbs until well combined.

  2. Assemble the rolls:

    • Spread a thin, even layer of the filling mixture over each tortilla — all the way to the edges.

    • Roll each tortilla tightly from one end to the other.

  3. Chill:

    • Wrap the rolled tortillas in plastic wrap.

    • Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (this helps them firm up and slice cleanly).

  4. Slice and serve:

    • Unwrap and cut each roll into 1-inch slices.

    • Arrange on a platter and serve cold or at room temperature.

Tips & Variations:

  • 🧀 Spicy version: Add a dash of chili flakes or chopped jalapeños.

  • 🥬 Veggie version: Skip the meat and load up with lettuce, spinach, and roasted peppers.

  • 🧄 Mediterranean twist: Use hummus instead of cream cheese and add olives, feta, and sun-dried tomatoes.

  • 🐟 Seafood version: Mix in canned tuna or smoked salmon with dill and lemon juice.

Would you like me to give you a sweet version of tortilla rolnice (like with Nutella and fruit)? It’s just as easy and perfect for dessert platters.
