Here’s a cozy, filling Slow Cooker Meatball & Potato Stew — perfect for chilly days and super easy to prep.


🥘 Slow Cooker Meatball & Potato Stew

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 6)

  • 1½ lbs (680 g) frozen or fresh meatballs
  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled & diced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (optional, for tomato-based version)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup frozen peas (added at end)

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Load the Slow Cooker

Add meatballs, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, and garlic to the slow cooker.

2️⃣ Add Liquids & Seasoning

Pour in beef broth (and diced tomatoes if using).
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.

3️⃣ Cook

  • Low: 7–8 hours
  • High: 4–5 hours
    Until potatoes are tender.

4️⃣ Finish

Stir in frozen peas during last 15–20 minutes.
Adjust seasoning before serving.


🧀 Optional Creamy Version

For a richer stew:

  • Stir in ½–1 cup heavy cream or sour cream at the end.
  • Or mix 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water to thicken.

🍞 Serve With

  • Crusty bread
  • Biscuits
  • Or over rice for extra heartiness
