Here’s a rich, buttery Southern classic — Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread. It’s not really “bread,” but more like a soft, chewy pecan blondie.


🥧 Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread

🛒 Ingredients (9×13 inch pan)

  • 2 cups light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter for richer flavor)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×13 baking dish or line with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, beat together:
    • Brown sugar
    • Granulated sugar
    • Eggs
  • Stir in oil (or melted butter) and vanilla until smooth.

3️⃣ Add Dry Ingredients

  • Mix in flour and salt just until combined.
  • Fold in chopped pecans.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.

5️⃣ Cool & Slice

  • Let cool completely before cutting.
  • Texture should be soft, chewy, and slightly gooey in the middle.

✨ Optional Add-Ins

  • ½ cup shredded coconut
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • A drizzle of caramel sauce on top

🥄 Serving Tips

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
  • Or dust lightly with powdered sugar
