French Dip Biscuits

Here’s a fun, easy comfort-food recipe for French Dip Biscuits 🥖🧀
Flaky biscuits stuffed with roast beef and cheese, served with warm au jus for dipping.


🥩 French Dip Biscuits

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (like Pillsbury Grands! Biscuits)
  • ¾ lb thinly sliced roast beef (deli style)
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or Swiss)
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix (such as McCormick Au Jus Gravy Mix)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Flatten biscuits

Separate biscuits and gently flatten each into a 4-inch circle.

3️⃣ Fill

Add:

  • A folded slice of provolone
  • A small pile of roast beef

Bring edges up and pinch closed tightly to seal.

4️⃣ Bake

Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
Brush tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and parsley.

Bake 13–16 minutes until golden brown.


🥣 Make the Au Jus

Prepare au jus according to package directions.
Serve warm for dipping.


🔥 Optional Add-Ons

  • Caramelized onions
  • Horseradish sauce inside
  • Sprinkle of shredded mozzarella on top before baking

💡 Tips

  • Don’t overfill or they may leak.
  • Seal edges well to keep cheese inside.
  • Best served warm and fresh from the oven.
