Ribeye steak Ingredients: 1 rib steak Sea salt flakes

Posted on February 19, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple, classic way to prepare a ribeye steak using just a few ingredients 🥩✨

🥩 Ribeye Steak with Sea Salt Flakes

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 1–2)

  • 1 ribeye steak (rib steak), about 10–12 oz (280–340 g)
  • Sea salt flakes, to taste
  • Optional: freshly ground black pepper, butter, garlic, or fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Bring Steak to Room Temperature

  • Remove steak from fridge 30–60 minutes before cooking for even cooking.

2️⃣ Season

  • Pat the steak dry with paper towels.
  • Generously sprinkle sea salt flakes on both sides.
  • Optional: add freshly ground black pepper.

3️⃣ Preheat Pan or Grill

  • Heat a heavy skillet or grill to high heat until very hot.

4️⃣ Cook Steak

  • For medium-rare:
    • Sear 3–4 minutes on each side (depending on thickness).
  • Adjust time for desired doneness.

5️⃣ Optional Flavor Boost

  • In the last minute of cooking, add a knob of butter, crushed garlic, and herbs to the pan. Spoon melted butter over the steak.

6️⃣ Rest the Steak

  • Let it rest 5–10 minutes before slicing to retain juices.

7️⃣ Serve

  • Slice against the grain and sprinkle extra sea salt flakes if desired.

🔥 Tips

  • Use a cast-iron skillet for a perfect sear.
  • Avoid moving the steak around while cooking — let it form a crust.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a simple salad.

If you want, I can also make a 10-minute ribeye skillet method that’s perfect for quick weeknight cooking.

Do you want me to do that?
