🍪 Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits

A quick, sweet treat perfect for breakfast, snacks, or alongside coffee or tea. These are soft, buttery, and coated in a cinnamon-sugar mixture.


🧂 Ingredients (Makes 8–10 biscuits)

Biscuit Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • ¾ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1–2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2–3 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep

  • Oven: 425°F (220°C)
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

2️⃣ Make Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fingertips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add milk and stir until just combined (do not overmix).

3️⃣ Shape Biscuits

  • Drop dough by spoonfuls or roll out ½–¾ inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.

5️⃣ Add Cinnamon Sugar

  1. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  2. Brush warm biscuits with melted butter.
  3. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar.

💡 Tips

  • Cold butter = flaky biscuits
  • Do not overmix dough to keep them tender
  • Optional twist: Mix cinnamon sugar directly into dough for swirled flavor
  • Serve warm for best taste
