Sausage cheese balls

Posted on February 4, 2026 by Admin

Ohhh yeah — sausage cheese balls are dangerous in the best way 🧀🔥
Crispy outside, fluffy inside, gone in minutes.

Classic Sausage Cheese Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork sausage (breakfast sausage works best)
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
  • 2 cups Bisquick (or baking mix)
  • ¼–½ cup milk (just enough to bind)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix everything together (hands work best).
  3. Roll into 1–1½ inch balls.
  4. Place on lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake 18–22 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
  6. Cool 5 minutes… then try not to eat them all.

Easy Upgrades

  • Spicy: Hot sausage or a pinch of cayenne
  • Garlic: ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Herby: Chopped chives or parsley
  • Extra cheesy: Mix in pepper jack or mozzarella
  • No Bisquick: Use 1½ cups flour + 1½ tsp baking powder + ½ tsp salt

Dips (optional but encouraged)

  • Honey mustard
  • Ranch
  • Spicy mayo
  • Maple syrup (trust me)

Want these air-fried, make-ahead/freezer-friendly, or adapted for a crowd or party tray?
